Students With A Passion
Although the name may deceive you, LawnJockey Productions is not a media production "company". As a matter of fact, no one involved with LawnJockey Productions is paid for the work that is put in place, nor has LawnJockey Productions charged anyone for our services. So, "WHAT are we?" is not as good a question as "WHO are we?". The answer is this: "We are students with a passion to create multimedia in an effort to advance our skills so we can serve God in a much more creative light." LawnJockey productions is the group responsible for many of the activities you see going on around the BCM including the formal dances and video productions.
The creator of LawnJockey Productions, and current Director, Zak Kratzer, is a broadcasting major who is always looking for help and ideas for new creations. We do not put any restrictions on who can help out, but simply ask that you sign up on the board in front of the BCM office. We will typically contact people from the list as we need them, however, if you have an idea, please contact Zak via Facebook for a review and possible implimentation.
Although most of our work has come in the form of announcement videos, we created a few pieces in an effort to participate in "FilmFights.com". Our first creation for this site, titled "Friends Who Make Kiss", was designed to be a trailer for a foreign film that was being brought to America, and contained concepts, ideas, and actions Americans were not familiar with. This first creation went on to become champion of the fight. Our second creation for "Filmfights.com" was in an "opposite versus" category - day vs. night, or good vs. evil, or dark vs. light (you get the idea) - and was created as a suspense thriller called "Day Janitor Vs. Night Janitor". Both videos can be seen below.
Zak Kratzer has already expressed excitement in the creation of many videos this semester under the LawnJockey label, so check back often for updates on future projects.
